• Hybrid is a Regular Intensive,  have a major educational component, both with the first day having an in-depth “refresher” look at the practice itself, and then 5 days during which you see 2 videos per day from Fr. Keating’s Spiritual Journey tapes. Also staff will be reading aloud from Open Mind, Open Heart during the breakfast and lunch meals. You are thus able to get more immersed in the principles and conceptual background of this spiritual practice with a Regular Intensive. The group prayer periods for these retreats are offered in 20 minute segments for the first few days and then in .30 minute segments. 

• Post Intensives, (10 days) are designed for those who have a strong foundation about centering prayer fairly well in place.  The focus on a Post Intensive retreat  is on the practice itself. The Post is much more silent than the Regular Intensive retreats, in that no videos are shown, all meals are in silence and no staff person is reading to you. Further, the meditation sits are done in 30 minute segments and during the majority of the days retreatants are expected to honor Grand Silence, when you are asked not to even make eye contact with your fellow retreatants.  Typically most participants on the Post Intensives have been doing the practice fairly long, so the silence can be very deep.
